Giants: Putting Yourself Out There

Giants: Putting Yourself Out There

Out of the Belly by Jannie Cudjo Moore, religion, christian, life-spiritual, growth

Hello Friends and Welcome

This is a place where you can be yourself. With kindness and understanding lets take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God cares for you.  No matter what may be happening in your life, there is nothing to hard for him to solve. Also, God has given us the most important weapon we could ever have, his word.

This week we will talk about facing giants in our lives. This can be a huge step in life because we can sometimes be over whelmed when thinking of obstacles such as, finally deciding to start pursuing a college degree, making plans for a new business venture, seeking a promotion on your job, or even writing a book.

“Now lets dress our souls like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY.”

Putting Yourself Out There

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” II Corinthians 12:9 NIV

For me personally I never was much for being the center of attention. I was pretty happy with just hanging out behind the scenes. I liked being the chick behind the camera who took all the pictures. Writing has always been personal between the Lord and I. There were no worries about how it may sound or all the misspelled words. I just kept writing knowing God understood exactly what I meant.

Now that I have been given such an incredible opportunity to share my work, I have been actively working on getting out of my comfort zone. That means pushing myself. I will admit, it can feel awkward. But like most things we are trying to achieve, it will require sacrifice, commitment, and hard work to reach our goals. I believe you will be surprised what you can do when you put yourself out there. That means seeing yourself in that graduation cap and gown, with your degree in your hand or seating customers into your new restaurant on opening day.

Putting yourself out there can seem like a hard thing to do, but my friend, how will you know what can be accomplished if you don’t try. On the other side of my journey, I found out I could do things I didn’t think I could do and so can you. I encourage you to step out toward those dreams, plans, and goals. Trust God, believe in yourself and go for it! If you take one step, believe me, God will take two.

We are going to talk more about the different types of giants, but until then, remember, we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

OUT OF THE BELLY- Coming Soon

OUT OF THE BELLY- Coming Soon

Under the darkening skies full of lightning and thunder, the roaring seas threaten to tear the wooden ship apart. Distraught and fearful, you hear the conversations of men debating the troubling decision that lies before them. Murky clouds give way to hail, rain and turbulent winds as waves of water bear down upon the men and ship alike. Earsplitting sounds of bending wood at the ship’s hull begin to show signs of breaking. Holding their victim tightly, two of the men walk him toward the plank’s edge. “Do it, do it now!” yells the captain. He gives no resistance as they push him overboard. An eerie silence engulfs them all. Full of regret and remorse as every eye anxiously searches the rough waters for him. Calming skies now adorn the heavens as ringlets of light peek out from behind white puffy clouds. A symphony of cascading colors of yellowish-orange and bluish-gray show the beauty of God’s handiwork.

This captivating book takes readers on a journey into the story of the prophet Jonah. Through scripture and my own imagination, we will discuss the impact of disobedience, emotional discourse, God’s sovereignty and mercy.

It has given me the opportunity to look at myself, as I reflect on where I was in my own life.
