Every Day

Every Day

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

EVERYDAY

“The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.” Lamentations 3:22-23 ESV

Morning already! It’s starting out to be one of those days and your feet haven’t touched the floor yet. Decisions to be made, customers service to give, clients to be seen, and not to mention those ridiculously long meetings! You and your spouse are not seeing eye to eye right now and the kids are driving you crazy! As you lay back down you realize you need more sleep. Thoughts of should I call out today enter your mind, but you know you got to be there. Sighing deeply, you recognize you’re not feeling your usual optimistic self.

All of us have had those kind of days. Take a deep breath as you allow yourself this opportunity to think about how God has helped you get through tougher days. Remember how he gave you loving favor here, or how he worked out that over there. As you reach for the towel to wash your face, you think of how God woke you up, giving movement to your body as you reached for the buzzing alarm clock. You realize he didn’t have to do it, but he did. Looking in the mirror you know it is because of his grace and mercy that you are still here. Deep in your thoughts, you know God has always made a way for you. The word tells us that his love is steadfast and never ceases. As you lean on Jesus Christ today, smile knowing you have help though the Holy Spirit who is our comforter. It is so wonderful to know that Gods mercies never come to an end, they are new to us every morning. Imagine it, a fresh start EVERYDAY!

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Be Still

Be Still

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

Be Still

“Now therefore stand still and see this great thing that the Lord will do before your eyes.” I Samuel 12:16 ESV

Thinking, thinking, thinking, that seems to be all you’re doing. Bills, the kids, what’s for dinner, deadlines that haven’t been completed on the job, and gas for the car.  Now that the day is over and you’ve finally made it to bed, you lay awake unable to settle your mind because thoughts just keep taking over.

In those times look for comfort and peace in the Word of God. I have learned the importance of being still before the Lord as I talk with him about everything that is in my heart and on my mind. In those times when your cup is full, stand still. Give everything over to God in prayer. He has the answers you seek, just wait on him. He is going to do some great things right before your eyes. Are you looking?

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Feeling Good

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

Feeling Good

“Those who look to him for help will be radiant with joy; no shadow of shame will darken their faces.” Psalm 34:5 NLT

What a beautiful day to stroll through the park, I can feel the wind on my face as unworried birds sing their  songs. I see playful squirrels who have no worries chasing each other up a tree. There is so much beauty in the world. Look at how much you’ve grown as a person this year. You’ve been dealing with the stuff in your life. There is definitely something different about you. I know you can feel it in the way you walk, talk, live, and give. You should be so proud of yourself. You are radiant with Gods joy and no shadows of the past will mess that up!

These radiant joyful moments reminds me of the Iconic song writer, musician, arranger, and civil rights activist Nina Simone.  She sums up just what I am feeling today with her 1965 number 1 song, Feeling Good. “Birds flying high, sun in the sky, breeze drifting’ on by. It’s a new dawn, a new day, and a new life for me. Fish in the sea, river running free, blossom on a tree, dragonfly out in the sun, butterflies having fun, sleeping peace when day is done. Stars when you shine and the scent of the pine, you know what I mean, Oh freedom is mine and I know how I feel. I am feeling good!”

Yes friends, We serve a God who gives Joy! When I think of the goodness of the Lord and how he made away for me I got to tell it!

We are each others keep. Remember the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am her to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

The Greatest Love Story Ever Told

“For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life.” John 3:16 NKJV

When you think of love stories what comes to your mind? Romeo and Juliet, the notebook, The heart of a woman or the great Gatsby may be some of the movies or books that you think of.  The love story I am talking about has a realistic cast of people that includes you and I. Yes we are in this biblical love story that speaks about Gods Devine love for us, his children.

Such a loving God who wants to commune with his children about everything. God came down from heaven above and he gave his life because of the unconditional love he has for us. We were so important to God, that he found away to do what the law could not. He reconciled us back to himself by the death of his son Jesus Christ. I believe the closest we can come to understand Gods unconditional love is parenthood. When we see the helplessness of our baby rest peacefully in our arms, we realize there is nothing we won’t do to protect them.

This real life love story changed the fate of this world. Jesus paid a price for our salvation! With out his death, man would not have the right to the tree of life. Never doubt how important you are to God. He loves you. He does care about us. The Bible is one of the greatest love story’s ever told. “So now faith, hope, and love abide, these three; but the greatest of these is love.” I Corinthians 13:13 ESV

We are each others keeper. Remember the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Tennis Shoes: How to Run for your Life

Tennis Shoes: How to Run for your Life

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls EVERYDAY!

Tennis Shoes: How to Run for your Life

“Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Hebrew 12:1 NKJV

Hey friend!! How are you doing today? You got your tennis shoes on? We got a race to run.  Everyday we are running to live our best lives. Now in order to run like we should, we have to follow Gods word. It instructs us to laying aside those weights that distract us from focusing on where we are going. A weight is defined as heaviness. Things like fear, doubt, negativity, confusion, and drama has got to go! Now with this lighter load we have more room for love, peace, joy, and happiness.

Endurance is patience. Patience is the capacity to accept or tolerate delays. Wow! I know we have all been there. Everything is going so well then comes that old monkey wrench messing up our plans. No doubt things are  subject to change without notice, but that’s life. How will you choose to run through it?

How should you run? First of all get some rest. Stop stressing over stuff. Give “them” and “it” over to the Good Lord and go to sleep. Second, practice makes the perfect pace because we are all at different places in our lives. The more you practice your faith, those bumps in the road will not so easily throw you off your rhythm. finally, make sure you take your daily dose of vitamin GHW, that is short for Gods Holy Word.  A lot of how we run comes from what we put in our minds and bodies. When we put God’s word in our mind, we learn to encourage our own souls. And let’s be real, other than God, nobody know like you do about you.

We are each others keeper. Remember the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

YOU!!

YOU!!

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

YOU!!

“I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Marvelous are Your works, And that my soul knows very well.” Psalms 139:14 NKJV

What do you see when you look in the mirror? Do you see the beauty of God living in your life. If you are in Christ, You are a new creation, the old has passed away and the new has come. You were made in the image of God.

You are loved by him and he cares what is on your heart and in your mind. He knows where  you were, what you have been through and what is going on with you right now. You are important to him and he will not leave you. In good times he is there to do that happy dance with you. In the storms of life when it hard to stand on your knees he carries You, Me, US with no problem.  He will wipe away every tear from our eyes and replace them with unspeakable joy.

Look in that mirror again and see who and whose you are. You are a child of the most high God. You are fearfully and wonderfully made. And when God made you he didn’t make no mistakes. He is our father and we are his sons and daughter. You are unique. YOU ARE YOU!! He is our Source and through him is how we get things done in our lives!  Now You go get your blessings!

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up

The Gift of Friendship

The Gift of Friendship

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his WORD.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

The gift of Friendship

“Every good and perfect gift is from above coming down from the father of heavenly light.” James 1:17 NIV

What do you think of when you hear the word gift? You may think of clothing, jewelry, a new car, a fancy meal, or even a vacation. Those are all great gifts, but what about the gift of friendship? It is an amazing gift to be able to call someone a friend. Friendship is defined as a state of mutual trust and support between friends.

This weekend I had lunch with some former co worker who I haven’t seen in such a long time. Covid has kept us apart as we stay in touch by phone. Lunch was more than food to eat for me, as we talked and laughter for the next 3 hour.

What a blessing it was for me to just see their faces. It was just like old times, but better. I was thankful that they each took time out of their day to get together. In the mist of such great company I found myself praying for each one of them, their homes, and families. What an awesome gift it was to sit among people I call friend.

When you get the chance be sure to reach out to those you call friend and tell them how much you appreciate them. Love is an action word, so I will not hesitate, I am picking up my phone now to tell my friends how much I enjoyed spending time with each of them.

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Quiet Strength

Quiet Strength

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

Quiet Strength

“Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalms 46:10

“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.” Exodus 14:14 KJV

“Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospers in his way, becausse of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.” Psalms 37:7

Our quiet strength can be seen best in the form of prayer. As you pause before God today, rest a sure that he has your back and he will fight for YOU!

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Happiness is…….

Happiness is…….

Together with kindness and in understanding let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have, his word.

Now let’s dress our souls like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY.

Happiness is…….

“Rejoice in the Lord Always. Again I will say, rejoice!” Philippians 4:4

Remember this song. If your happy and you know it, clap your Hands! If your happy and you know it stomp your feet! If your happy and you know it nod your head! If your happy and you know it do all three! If you are happy and you know it and you really want to show it clap, stomp, and nod your head! According to Wikipedia, in the early 2000’s the song received widespread media attention was paid to a 12 year-old whose download included if your happy and you know it.

This little song reminds me of how I should be getting my happiness on. When I think of this is a day the Lord has made, and how he woke me up this morning to see a day I have never seen. He gave me a portion of health and strength to get up. And in my ignorance and foolishness he kept me safe, watching over me like a good father would. He heard my cry from within the closet of my heart and in the midnight hour he reached down wiping the tears from my eyes. When I think of all the things he’s done in my life I can’t help but clap my hands, stomp my feet, and nod my head. This gives me joy and happiness!

“The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the Lord Forever.” Psalm 23 NKJV

I’m doing my happy dance!

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.
