If My People

If My People

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his WORD.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

IF MY PEOPLE

2 Chronicles 7:14

New International Version

14 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

According to the Gun Violence Archive the United States has already seen more than 200 mass shootings in 2022. May 14, a racist attack at a Buffalo, New York grocery store, that took the lives of 10 people. Then 10 days later a 18 year old shot 21 people at an elementary school, including 19 children in Uvalde, Texas.

The horror, nightmares and trauma facing these families who have tragically lost their love ones at the violent hands of others. My heart and thoughts go out to all of those families. These are someones children, parents, mother, brother, sister, and friend. The land and our people need healing. The word tells us that we must come together as a nation, humbling ourself and pray. We have to put whatever differences aside as ONE NATION.

Take time to pray and come together with others to pray for those families who have lost their love ones to senseless violence. We need to hear from heaven friends because as a people we needs God’s forgiveness and mercy. Its pass time to come together with support as we hold our neighbors and community accountable.

And Yes, we are each others Keeper!  And the only time that we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

FAMILY TREE

Growing up I did not know much about my family history or my maiden name, CUDJO. In my mind I believed if you had that name you had to be related. People could not say it or spell it right. I was often asked how did I get that name. Over the years and through better technology I was able to learn a lot about that side of my family trees. This is just half of my Genealogy on my fathers side from out of the state of Oklahoma. My great-great-great-great-great…grandfather was King Cudjo. He married Rebecca Johnson. They had 4 children, John, Sam, Ned, and Matilda. I am from the line of Sam.

King Cudjo, the Interpreter and Guide

by Hanna Anderson

Cudjo, also nicknamed “King Cudjo”, was an important yet controversial Black Seminole at the time of the Seminole Wars. He was instrumental as a guide and interpreter for the US government, which resulted in some ill-feelings among the other Seminoles. Yet, his family remained an integral part of the Seminole community and moved to Oklahoma with the others. The majority of the Cudjo and Cudjoe families that live in the US today are direct descendants of this man and his children

I am apart of the Seminole Tribe that was formed back in Florida that traveled on the trail of tears that moved to Oklahoma going back to 1761. My relatives includes, Barkus, Bruner, Carolina, Davis, Dennis, Dindy, Grayson, Jackson, Lotty/Lottie, Payne, and Pompey. That’s just part of who I am, now who are you?

If you hadn’t done so in awhile you might want to take sometime to learn about your family history, the who and where you come from. One of my favorite things to do is look at pictures and talk to older family members who can share what they remember. What a blessing it is to have our seniors to tell us more about us. When my daughter was younger we had to do a family tree for one of her classes, it had us all off into a discovery about our diverse family. How far can you go back?

If you go to my authors webpage I have another fun facts about my maiden name Cudjo.

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when you are helping them up.

I SEE YOU

Mother’s Day Thought

“Rather, beauty is something internal that can’t be destroyed. Beauty expresses itself in a gentle and quiet attitude which God considers precious.” I Peter 3:4 (GOD’S WORD Translation)

We See You. You are the busy woman, wife, and mother taking care of her family. We See You. You are that mother who is both mother and father. We See You. You are the woman who has no children but has given life to many with support and encouragement. We See You. The sacrifices you make, the late nights on the job, extra hours here and there, part-time gigs, as you push yourself through school to give yourself and family more opportunities. We See You. The often sleepless nights, praying in the midnight for God’s guidance and direction, as you check the kid’s homework, and look over yours. We see you. Raising your grandbabies to give them a stable home. We See You. You are the mother of an incarcerated child, oh how you look for them to come home. We See You. You are the mother of a sick child, your love for them is their strength and your touch is their comfort. We See You. Your child has gone to be with the Lord and not a day goes by you don’t miss them. We See You. You have such a beautiful spirit! You are kind and care about others. You are focused on not just the goal, but the journey of getting there as you breathe in every moment. We See You. You are womanhood, even in the eye of the raging storms you glow. Through you, I know beauty can come out of ashes. We See You. Your faith in God is a living testimony, God hears every prayer and will wipe away every tear. Yes, I See You.

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Hush

Hush

Together in kindness and understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now lets dress our souls like we dress our body, EVERYDAY!

HUSH

“Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.” Proverbs 18:21 KJV

Good day friends! This powerful statement from Proverbs 18:21 reminds us that words do have power. They have power to build, encourage, give out positivity, and speak in strength. Words also have the power to tare down, discourage, hurt feelings, and to weaken. When you gonna stop going back and forth with war of words on your tongue? Oh how it drains your mind, steals your energy, and peace. Instead chose the high road and just HUSH. You got goals to complete, vacations to plan, and family events to attend. You do not have the time to go back and fourth with anyone. Besides WE don’t have the final word, that right is reserved for our Lord Jesus Christ. So Just HUSH.

As you pause and HUSH before the Lord, do so with your actions. Now you can think of some better ways to use your time today. How about doing things that buildup your moral compass and character on Godly principles. You’re not going to fall for that okie doke again. You are not a puppet on a string. You are a child of God and he will fight for you. So just HUSH.  He can show you way better than I could ever tell you.

The word tells us that when we HUSH we keep our life from both trouble and destruction. Take 60 seconds to think what’s not worth speaking too.

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.
