TAKE COURAGE IN KNOWING WHO AND WHOSE YOU ARE

TAKE COURAGE IN KNOWING WHO AND WHOSE YOU ARE

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his WORD.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

Take Courage in Knowing Who and Whose You Are

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 ESV

As I stand looking into the bathroom mirror, I see a reflection of a woman with all of the imperfections. As I stand thoughts about my christian identity comes to mind. We were made in the image of God. How incredible is that! That means that we have his original DNA. When you look into the mirror do you see who and whose you are?

The dictionary defines identity as the fact of being who or who a person or thing is. For example a person’s name. It is also the condition or fact of being the same, associated or affiliated with something, Do you know who you are in Jesus Christ? We are his sons and daughters, He is our bread in a barren land, he is water when we are thirsty, he is a friend to the friendly, he is the way, truth, and the light to our path.

Knowing who you are is important as it provides purpose in our everyday lives. When challenges come our way, misunderstandings, and confusion we have God’s word to stand on. Knowing who we are in Christ and through his Word we have the tools needed to build up ourselves on what living life is all about. Joy, happiness, persistence, and a good sense of humor along the way.

Before we can understand who we are in Christ we have to know who God is. The scriptures tell us, he is our creator, he is unchanging, he is love, he is faithful, he is knowledge, he is a spirit, he is the light, he is our father and he is a consuming fire. Now that we got that covered let’s look at who we are in the Lord.

We are forgiven, blessed, accepted, loved, sealed with the Holy Ghost, a child of the most high God, and solider. You are beauty out of ashes, encouraged, believing God for all things, you can do all things through Christ who is your strength, you new creation by the renewing of my mind, you can have peace that passes all understanding, YOU ARE MORE THAN ENOUGH!

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Daddy is always looking For a Way

Daddy is always looking For a Way

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his WORD.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

DADDY IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR A WAY

“As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him.” Psalm 103:13 NIV

Daddy is always looking for a way.  No one ever said being a dad was easy, but he does it. My dad loves me, has supported my goals, and dreams. He reminds me, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” He is a great source of strength and encouragement in my life.

What does a father do? His influence sets the relationships we will have with others. In his daughter life,  he shows her how to be secure in who she is, guiding her to see how a man should treat her, and how to care for a mans heart. For his son he is always teaching what it means to stand up, with honor, respect for himself, others, and keeps his word. Dad serves as a role model to be mimicked daily. Dad is more than just a provider, protector, and disciplinarian. He is an active participate in the home, who is dependable. compassionate, and comforting. He possesses empathy and shows his humanity. The Daddy who is always looking for a way is confident, wise, charming, handsome, hardworking, brave, and optimistic.

To the fatherless, trust that the Lord will be a father for you. Cherish and embrace every beautiful memory you shared together. I know you miss him and there isn’t a day you don’t think of his smile, warm embrace, and those special talks you had with him. He knew you loved him. Those are the thoughts that matter.

Those of you who have a father, take the time to tell dad thank you for all he has done. Give him his flowers and accolades now. It does not have to be a special occasion to tell him just how he means to you. Take the time to say “I Love You.”

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when you are helping them up.

LOVE ANYWAY

LOVE ANYWAY

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect.  I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his WORD.

Now let’s dress our bodies like we dress our souls, EVERYDAY!

Love Anyway

1 Corinthians 13

New International Version

13 If I speak in the tongues of men or of angels, but do not have love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can fathom all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have a faith that can move mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and give over my body to hardship that I may boast, but do not have love, I gain nothing.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

Love never fails.

Our Lord and Savior Jesus, demonstrated love through his life on this earth. Even from the cross he died for us all. The Love Chapter of Corinthians tells us what love is and it also shows us best what love is not.

I read several quotes from famous people who gave their view of what love is.

“Love is the only force capable of transforming an enemy into a friend.” Martin Luther king Jr.

“Love is like a virus. It can happen to anybody at any time.” Maya Angelou

“I know that love is real when it’s not convenient, when it’s not selfish,  when it’s challenged, sometimes even if it’s not reciprocated.” Viola Davis

“Falling out of love is like losing weight.  It’s a lot easier putting it on than taking it off.” Aretha Franklin

“We’ve got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can’t just accept it and leave it in the cupboard or just think it’s going to get on by itself. You’ve got to keep watering it. You’ve got to really look after it and nurture it.” John Lennon

Love keeps us as each others keeper. And remember the only time that you should be looking down on someone is when we are helping the up.
