Search Me Lord

Search Me Lord

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his Word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

Search Me Lord

“O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.” Psalm 139:1-3 NKJV

David’s poetic talent, his influence, and his life can be seen in the psalms. Many of the psalms correspond with events in his life. We see David’s commitment to worship God in praise throughout the entire book of psalms. He shares his thoughts, giving encouragement for us to all keep holding on until our change comes.

What can we take away from this psalms today? We are intimately known by God. His word says, for you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. Before we were known by our mothers, God knew us. You and I were not an accident. He made us with a purpose and a plan. God knows us, he always has. We are intimately known by God, both inside and out.

The Lords search of us shows he made us with a purpose. We are fearfully and wonderfully made. There may be many faces who look like you, perhaps someone with your walk or even has your laugh, but there is only one you. The word wonderful means, to be distinct, marked out separated or distinguished. We are made wonderful from the heart of God to bring glory to his name.

Our Lord searches where man can not see, the heart. His word tells us,  O Lord, You have searched me and known me. You know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought afar off. You comprehend my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.

Let us pray, “search me Lord, if you find anything in me, that should’t be I ask that you take it out and strengthen me. Amen.”

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Jesus Our Advocate and Cheerleader

Jesus Our Advocate and Cheerleader

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

Jesus Our Advocate and Cheerleader

“And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when christ Jesus returns.” Philippians 1:6 NLT

You have your advocate and cheerleader beside you daily as you simply, GO FOR IT!  As we step out in the name of Jesus Christ, his mighty power is at at work within us doing far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream. Not only has he begun this work in us, but the word tells us he will continue his work until it’s finally finished. Yes friend, you go right ahead and start drafting up those plans the Lord has put in your head to do.

What does it mean to an advocate? An advocate is a person who comes to our aid or pleads our case. They offer support, strength, counsel and intercede for us when necessary. The Word tells us that Jesus is an advocate for those who have put their trust in him. The English word advocate has been translated from the Greek word parakleton, which means, “helper, advisor, or counselor.” The dictionary defines the word cheerleader as a person who encourages and openly supports the success of a person or cause.

The illustration of what God as our cheerleader would look, comes from well known Christian author Max Lucado. He says:

“God is for you. Turn to the sidelines; that’s God cheering your run. Look past the finish line; that’s God applauding your steps. Listen for him in the bleachers, shouting your name. Too tired to continue? He’ll carry you. Too discouraged to fight? He’s picking you up. God is for you. God is for you. Had he a calendar, your birthday would be circled. If he drove a car, your name would be on his bumper. If there’s a tree in heaven, he’s carved your name in the bark. We know he has a tattoo, and we know what it says. ‘I have written your name on my hand,’ he declares (Isa. 49:16).”

No doubt about it, God loves and cares for Us. We are the center of his affection and the apple of his eye. He’s been right there, cheering us on. Because of his love and great sacrifice we are over comers. Express yourself joyfully because you know where your help comes from and that gives you courage! You ain’t just anybody, you a child of the Most High God. He is our biggest fan. He is not only rooting you on, but he will see you through it.

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Greater

Greater

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

Greater

“Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is GREATER than he who is in the world.” I John 4:4 ESV

Do you see the great person that you are? Every day that you wake up is another day toward making it greater than it was yesterday.

Greatness means to keep moving beyond circumstances. You see that big old mountain in front of you, and you ask yourself how will I ever get to the top. As a believer, you know the Lord can do all things but fail. So you put on your shoes of faith and get moving. You are more than a conquer through the Lord who loves you.  What does it mean to be greater?  The dictionary defines greater as an extent, amount, or intensity considerably above the normal or average.

When I hear the word greater, I think of: accomplished, experienced, masterful, practiced, favorable and faithful.  The Word of God tells us we are greater because he is in us. Picture it, the enemy with that smug look on his face as he uses those around us to deliver his attacks. “You can’t finish anything. The nerve of you having a dream! I can’t see you making this or that happen! You have no resources or money for what you trying to do! You failed at so many things, take it from me it’s a bad idea! You don’t have what it take to claim this so called “GREATNESS”! You ain’t nobody and you never will be! Why don’t you just quit! I’m telling you this for your own good! You believe me don’t you?!”

The Great Jannie is here to inspire, encourage, and remind you about your greatness. We serve a mighty God, who provides for us, and he will make way for our dreams. He has provided a special coat of spiritual armor for our body. He has given you and I a natural born gift and we use it. We are great because the Lord is our shepherd, and we shall not want. He shall supply all of our needs according to his riches in glory. We are never alone because our God walks, talks, and cares for us. For he knows the plans he has for us, plans to prosper us and not harm us, plans to give us hope and a future. We are great due to of his amazing grace and mercy. Because he lives we can face tomorrow, the next day, month, and year!

We are great friends because we have Jesus. When the enemy tries to make you believe you can’t, won’t, and  shall not, remember it’s the God in you and through him you can do all things! Hold on to what the Lord has given you. Yes you have a God who will fight for and about you! Halelujah! Raise your shield in faith! Believing God for all of those great things he has chosen for you to do. Claim the greatness of God living inside you! Step into what God has called you to be. With the Lord on our side, we can, will and shall accomplish all he has puts in our hands to do.

You are Great and God will take what you have making it Greater. Anyone can become great. Jesus tells us how: whoever wishes to become great among you shall be your servant: and whoever wish to be first among you shall be slave of all. Jesus who was the greatest, came to serve, even to the point of death, trading his life for our salvation.

Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.
