I’m Working on It

I’m Working on It

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his Word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

I’m Working on It

2 Chronicles 15:7 ESV

But you, take courage! Do not let your hands be weak, for your work shall be rewarded.”

The phrase working on it, means being conscious that even if something doesn’t turn out as expected, it’s okay, because we can learn from that too. We can accomplish anything (yes, anything) by ‘working on it.’

Are you working on your goals? Goals are those things we put our direct effort into. Yes they are about YOU. Scripture tells us to rise up, take courage, and do it! Studies show that goal attainability is more positively linked to well-being than goal importance. Realistic goals also can be more effective and motivating. Working toward our goals require digging deeper to do the inner work, that will at some point make an outward appearance.

I am actively working on my goals too.  Did you know that even with all our efforts, we still cannot do it in our own strength. We need the Good Lord who can help us achieve what we believe.

Here are a few thoughts as you work toward your goals:

·         Make sure God is at the top of your list “Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Matthew 6:33 KJV

·         Emotional well-being and your mental health. This is your ability to withstand as you work toward the goal, along with everything else in your life.

·         Fitness. You gotta get your exercise on. It is important that you find a place to put this in your life, I’m talking about 25 minutes, three or four times a week. It’s a great stress release and it does the body good.

·         Self-Esteem and embracing your uniqueness.  Child, the beauty of you is YOU! You’re funny, smart, and you care about others. People are drawn to your open heart.

·         Social health with those around you: spouse, kids, family members, friends, and co- workers. Just like we cheer them on, they rally behind us too. So shine on.

·         Remember why you are in pursuit of this goal. Is it because you want to help change lives one person at a time. Maybe you have a passion for your work, that doesn’t feel like work at all. Do you want to build bridges, shatter stereotypes, as you share that nothing is impossible to them that believe and work hard.

Remember we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.
