Jesus Changes Everything

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his Word.

Jesus Changes Everything

John 19:28-30 NKJV

After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth. So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

Passing by the city bus stations, I read a message plastered to the side of one of the buses: It read: Jesus changes everything. In my own life, I thought about those words and how true they were for me. I was able to see how He has changed everything for me. Through His sacrifice on the Cross, he paid it all for our sins and saved us from eternal damnation at the hands of our enemy, Satan.

When he conquered the grave, Jesus not only claimed his authority over death, but he also opened the gates of heaven by offering us the gift of salvation, thus enabling us to live in eternal righteousness with God. He loved us so much, that he showed that while we were sinners, He died for us.

Yes, Jesus Changes everything. He brings to us transformation.

·      Jesus Transforms our Mind– And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is good, acceptable and the perfect will of God. Whether we like it or not, there are influences in our culture, both good and bad. What do you bring to the table of influence in shaping the lives of others?

·      Jesus Transforms our desires-Delight yourselves also in the Lord and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Sure we all want God to grant us the desires of our hearts. But has there been those times that something you thought you wanted, you really didn’t want at all? What do you desire most from God in your life?

·      Jesus Transforms our Relationships-Jesus has a way of transforming the way we interact with others, from family, friends, co-workers, and even strangers. Throughout the Gospels, Jesus commands us to love one another the way he loves us. What does loving others look like for you?

·      Jesus Transforms our Purpose-One of the most amazing things about following Christ is the purpose he will establish in our lives. It is nothing like knowing your purpose as you do what God has given you with joy and a smile. When we live out our purpose, we become a part of something so much bigger than ourselves. We show courage because of our faith in the promises of God through his Word. Remember, in all things we are more than conquerors through him that loves us. Yes friends, Faith over fear, are you ready to show up, and let the God in you show out?

There was a certain man who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to get well?” The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.” Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.” And immediately the man was made well, He took up his bed, and walked.
