God’s Highlights
God’s Highlights

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
Throughout the scriptures we see Gods highlights through punctuation marks. Think about it friends: period, comma, question, and exclamation marks. These are all ways meant to help us understand where God is coming from. Keep in mind that any choices the Good Lord makes for His children are to help us.
If we would only listen with a period on the end. I have been guilty of not listening, I am guilty of doing the Jonah, thinking I know better and going my own way only to hit the wall. Friends I have learned that instead of getting on that hamster wheel going nowhere fast, to just let God do the talking and leading and I do the walking, where he wants me to go.
Let’s look at a few punctuation highlights:
In the book of Genesis, the word tells us that the world was without shape and void, and God moved upon the face of the deep and he said, let there be light, and guess what there was light. (that’s comma, comma, period)
Moses was called to lead the children out of Israel. Was given a command to take his sandals off because the place he was standing was holy ground. (that’s a exclamation point)
Did you ever notice that when God ask a question, He already knows the answer? He asked Adam in the garden where he was, and He asked Cain where his brother Able was.
Jesus told a certain man to rise, take up your bed and walk. He told the woman with the issue of blood that her faith has made her whole. And what about Jesus’ moms brother Lazarus who was had been dead for four days, Jesus called in a loud voice, “Lazarus, come out!”
Jesus who was full of the spirit was led up to be tempted by the devil when he had fasted 40 days and 40 nights, he was hungry. Satan came to him thinking he had the upper hand on Jesus, imagine that. But he soon learned that Jesus, the God on earth responded to his foolishness with both power and authority. And yes, he knew it.
We don’t have the capacity to understand God’s ways, that why we must trust in him, that he knows the way for you, me, and all of us. Get off the hamster wheel of my way or the highway, TRUST GOD! He Got YOU COVERED! Amen!
Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.
