The Payoff

The Payoff

The Payoff

“The Lord was with Joseph so that he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master. When his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord gave him success in everything he did.” Genesis  39:2-3 NIV

We know the story of how Joseph was sold into slavery because of his brothers’ jealousy. His story serves as a profound example of how diligence leads to success. Despite his hardships, his efforts were rewarded with FAVOR. The Lord was with him. That’s foundational support, and stability.

What’s the payoff you ask?  When we maintain a strong work ethic it can lead to unexpected blessings. It’s a reminder to us that our commitment and hard work can create opportunities and bring positive change in our lives. Success often follows those who are determined. Again, it’s all about our foundation.

This brings me to the Story of The Three Little Pigs. I know we all know this cute story. This Nursery Rhyme dates back to 1840’s. My favorite version of this rhyme was released by Warner Bros Pictures on January 5, 1957, as part of the Looney Tunes Series called Three Little Bops. If you haven’t seen this version, I suggest you go to YouTube and look at it. They have it broken down into three parts or a short version. Either way you will get a good laugh and maybe even a bob of the head.

The Plot is in the style of twelve-bar blues. During a gig at the house of straw, the Big Bad Wolf shows up to demonstrates that he was friendly and wanted to sit in with the band. Well, when he got to playing, he was awful, and they throw him out. Insulted, the Wolf retaliated by using his trumpet to blow down the House of Straw, forcing the pigs to go to the Dew Drop Inn, also known as the House of Sticks. Things were going great in there, until the Wolf arrives with more bad trumpet playing the audience called for him to be thrown out again. Well, that Wolf blew the Sticks down with no problem. This time the Pigs had a sure thing with the House of Bricks and a sign on the door that said, “No Wolves Allowed!” That wolf tries to ram the door down with a log with no success, the trumpet failed to blow the bricks down, and he even tried disguising himself coming in and still got thrown out. This time the pigs shut and lock the door to ensure he could not get in.

Furious, he said if he can’t get in, he will blow it up. He lights the TNT, but since he is so close to the door, one of the pigs were able to blow it out. So, he went further and further back.  Well, he got so far back that when he was running to put the dynamite by the door he got blown up. He didn’t go to heaven, it was the other place, and he was able to play that trumpet then. One of the pigs said, “you got to get hot to play real cool. They let his ghost stay in the band.  So, the pigs renamed the band, The Three Little Bops Plus One.

The moral lesson learned from “The Three Little Pigs” no matter what version you like is that hard work and dedication pay off. It’s important to take your time and do it right. Foundations are important when it comes to how we can stand. That Solid foundation is Jesus Christ.

I am not certain what your goals or plans are friends, but I do want to encourage you to put your best forward and trust God in all you do. AMEN.

Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

The Race

The Race

The Race

“I have seen something else under the sun: The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” Ecclesiastes 9:11 NIV

Most commonly the scripture I read is said this way, “The race is not given to the swift or to the strong but to the one who endures to the end.”  As I was driving home one day this week, I thought about that scripture, and two interesting characters came to mind: The Tortoise and The Hare.

This fable tells the story of a race between a hare and a tortoise. The hare makes fun of the tortoise for being slow, and the tortoise accepts the hare’s challenge to a race. The hare gets far ahead of the tortoise, but then stops to take a nap.  The tortoise continues moving slowly but steadily, and eventually passes the sleeping hare to win the race.

The moral of the story is you can be more successful by doing things slowly and steadily than by acting quickly and carelessly.  You know what the hare’s problem was? He was overconfident and cocky.  That old rabbit saw that turtle as an unworthy opponent, you know, not a threat at all. Cecil as he was called on Looney Tunes, was a meek and humble creature.

The turtle’s perseverance and determination helped him to complete the race. Nope he did not entertain the idea of quitting, instead he stayed focus on the race. That rabbit had his own ideas about what he saw as a worthy opponent.  Can you see that rabbit, sizing up the turtle? He figured “it’s in the bag.”

Have you encountered people who think they got you all figured out?  Have you been underestimated? Look at Jesus who was born in a manager. There laid the savior of this world. He was underestimated, questioned, ridiculed, and hassled. But he came to set the captive free through healing, and with love. He came to give us the right to the tree of life. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He is our enduring strength. Yes, it’s the God in you, that won’t let you give up. Amen.

Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

You Gotta Be Born Again

You Gotta Be Born Again

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, His Word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

You Gotta Be Born Again

“Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” John 3:4 ESV

When my daughter was born, Lordy I remember it like it was yesterday. My doctor was Gaylon L. Daigle. He delivered babies on every Wednesday. I am not sure what that was all about, but every time I went for my appointment, he either was delivering a baby, had delivered already, or getting ready to deliver a baby. Believe it or not, I was no exception to that rule. My daughter was born on Wednesday, June 23, 1999, at 6:57pm, 7oz 4pound and eighteen inches long. So many memories leading up to her birth. When she was finally resting in my arms, I felt an indescribable feeling of joy as I thanked God for her. As I looked down into her beautiful peaceful face as she slept, I thought to myself, “this is what unconditional love looks and feels like.”

The only music playing at the dinner table was “Barney’s Greatest Hits.” Let’s me see if I can remember the words to that Barney song: “I love you, you love me, we’re a happy family, with a great big hug, and a kiss from me to you, won’t you say you love me too.” A bib was everywhere in the house, in the car, and at grandma and great-grandma’s house. Cold teething rings in the refrigerator, sippy cups in every color, she had her favorites.  Baby wipes took the place of napkins. I can’t forget about my Trusty dusty fold down stroller which was a must as we stayed on the go. Oh yes, my multifunctional diaper bag, also known as “my purse.”

The classic passage in the Book of John answers this question of what it means to be born again. Nicodemus, whose name means “victory of the people,” was a prominent Pharisee and member of the Sanhedrin (the ruling body of the Jews). He had come to Jesus in secret and at night with some questions.

As Jesus talked with Nicodemus, He said, “‘I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.’ ‘How can a man be born when he is old?’ Nicodemus asked. ‘Surely he cannot enter a second time into his mother’s womb to be born!’ Jesus answered, ‘I tell you the truth, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless he is born of water and the Spirit. Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. You should not be surprised at my saying, “You must be born again.” (John 3:3–7). The phrase translated “born again” can also be translated as “born from above.”

Why does a person need to be born again? So, we can have eternal life. When we are not born again, we are separated from God. How does the new birth come to be?  By our action of acceptance, as we choose Jesus Christ as our Lord and personal Savior. Ephesians chapter two reminds us that by grace we have been saved, through faith, not from ourselves, but the gift of God. Jesus paid the penalty of sin when he died on the cross. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.

Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

What it Takes

What it Takes

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, His Word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

What it Takes

“But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

“Seeing and feeling my own human frailties as I succumb to the mounting pressure of my thoughts. I recognized I was a part of the problem. I have faith in everyone and everything, but what about faith in myself? Only God could love me like he does, despite my failings and mistakes. He’s always been there with me through it all. He never gave up on me. I owed Him and I owe myself. After all, hadn’t he been there for me, just like he promised? Didn’t he help me up when I fell? Didn’t he surprise me with blessings I knew I didn’t deserve? Yes, he believed in me, even when I couldn’t. Praying to God with tears in my eyes, I sadly acknowledged my lack of faith and ask God to help my unbelief. Exert from The Armor Project.

I have come a long way friends, and I still have a long way to go on this journey. But I am thankful to be moving and submersing myself in the things of God. How sweet it is to be loved by him. Part of my journey in faith dealt with my actions to pause, be still, and wait. All things I was not good at. I made a lot of hasty decisions without thinking. Yes I was just in my own way.

Let me share a few thoughts on faith with you:

Faith as a Gift, The book of Corinthians, chapter twelve speaks of faith as one of the nine gifts that are given by grace and are not based on our worthiness or personal ability. All those gifts are given by the Spirit of God, which may be drastically different from what we think we are capable of. There are different kinds of gifts, services, and works, but in all of them the same God is at work. The gift of increased faith carries a notion of confidence, certainty, trust, and complete assurance in God for His purpose.

Saving faith, this faith is implemented when a new believer accepts Jesus Christ as their personal savior. This includes repentance and baptism. It is in faith that the new believer’s journey begins. Growth of our faith is contingent on not just fitting God into our already busy schedule, instead it sheds light on how necessary it is to put him at the top of the priority list. Study of the scripture and prayer time are great places to start working as you build a personal relationship with God.

Faith of a mustard seed, the scripture says, “if you have the faith of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20. Did you know that those mountains can be things like: fear, doubt, negativity, procrastination and distraction to name a few? The mustard seed is only about one or two millimeters. It’s so tiny, and is one of the smallest seeds on the planet. They come in a variety of colors from yellow, white, and black. The bush can reach an average height between six to twenty feet. Now how can such a small seed grow so big? They grow best in cooler weather. The savory flavor of mustard complements our hotdogs, hamburgers, sandwiches, and potato salad. This healthy vegetable gives us mustard greens, which just happens to be my favorite kind of green. The largest production of mustard seeds come from India. They also have properties that may help to reduce asthma attacks, certain symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, and lower blood pressure. I can see why Jesus chose this seed to show us that big things can come out of small beginnings. Just a little faith can do amazing things in our lives.

People of faith, Able offered a better sacrifice than Cain, Enoch was taken up so that he would not see death, Noah prepared the Ark, Abraham showed obedience, and the fiery furnace was no match for the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. The woman with the issue of blood believed if she touched the helm of Jesus’ garment that she would be made whole, and how about Gideon, who along with 300 soldiers and slaughtered the Midianites.

Friends what it takes is our faith in action and a willingness to trust God in all things. Keep the faith. The most amazing things in life tend to happen right at the moment you’re about to give up. The book of Isaiah 40:31 says it best, “They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Amen.

Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Now I See

Now I See

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, His Word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

Now I See

“He answered and said, “whether he is a sinner or not, I do not know. One thing I know: that though I was blind, now I see.” John 9:25 NKJV

This scripture is part of the passage of a man born blind at birth. He would receive his sight through Jesus Christ. Here we see the handiwork of God revealed not just to this man, but to everyone.

This scripture reminds me of a song by Johnny Nash who is an American singer-songwriter who came out with this 1972 hit, I Can See Clearly Now. Who doesn’t know that song. It has been sampled by many artists over the years, as well as commercials.

Here are some of the words:

I can see clearly now, the rain is gone, I can see all the obstacles in my way. Gone are the dark clouds that had me blind. It’s gonna be a bright, bright, sun-shiny day. He goes on to say, I think I can make it now. The pain is gone. All the bad feelings have disappeared. Here is the rainbow I’ve been prayin for. Then he says, look all around, there’s nothin’ but blue skies, look straight ahead nothin’ but blue skies.

The obstacles the blind man faced was no sight from his birth. I can envision some of the things he might have felt growing up. Not being able to see his face, or the face of his own family, never seeing the food that is put before him to eat (the fish, warm bread made by his mother’s own loving hands, and water from his own cup), always hearing his siblings playing, but never able to run free with them down by the riverside, and no sunrises or sunsets.

But there was a man, name Jesus who had the power to restore what he never had. In a cloud of darkness all his life, soon this sightless man would see the world in a way he never thought possible.  Jesus tell his disciples that, “Neither this man nor his parents sinned, but that the works of God should be revealed in him. As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” One thing the man knew, was that though he was blind, now he could see. I imagine words could not describe what he felt.

What are some benefits of seeing:

We can see ourselves. Everything friends start at home in our own personal mirrors as we take a long loving look at self. Forgive yourself because God already has. friends his mercies are made new every day.

We can see God in all things. God doesn’t just work in other people you know. He can work through you and I.  Do you see his graciousness in the air you were able to breathe? Do you see him in this sun-shiny day? Do you see him in the beauty of the greenest of trees, or were you able to see the waves in ocean? How did you see him this morning friends?

We see our enemies. Friends we gotta stay woke when it comes to recognizing our adversary, he will use anybody and everything to distract us. Remember friends, Satan has a job to do: He needs to put as much distance between us and the Good Lord as he can. He aims to sift us like wheat, as he tries to set us up like sheep for the slaughter.  His job is to steal, kill and destroy! You Got your Armor on? Good. Keep it on.

We will see our purpose. Are you a counselor in training? Are you a teacher? Are you a caregiver for our sick and elderly? Are you a real estate agent making family dreams of home ownership come true? It’s nothing like doing what you were meant to do. For me, writing and blogging, encourages a message of hope and healing, I am always encouraging my own soul through what God has given me to share with others. It’s the best part of waking up with Jesus in my cup.

We will see, where we are going from the passenger seat, as we give Jesus the wheel! When it comes to handheld maps and computer navigation systems, He the way, truth, and life and don’t know body know the roads better than He does. One thing I am sure of, if we are gonna get anywhere, it will have to be with God in front.

Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

And Then There were Four

And Then There were Four

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, His Word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

And Then There Were Four

“Look!” He answered, “I see four men loose, walking in the mist of the fire; and they are not hurt, and the form of the fourth is like the son of God.” Daniel 3 :25 NKJV

In the summer of 605 B.C., Daniel,  Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah were taken from their homes, families, culture, way of life, and thrusted into a Babylonian world. Stripping them of everything, they were given new names. But in due time, the king and his people would know there is a God in Babylon.

As we rewind back to the beginning of book of Daniel, we see Nebuchadnezzar’s chief official, entering Jerusalem, and taking the young men captive. The Babylonians were looking for certain qualifications in areas like- without physical defect, handsome, learns quickly, well informed, quick to understand, and qualified to serve in the king’s palace. These four guys weren’t just better than the rest, they were ten times better than all the magicians and enchanters” in ALL of Babylonia!

King Nebuchadnezzar recognized that they were the cream of the crop. So, he took them under his wing, giving them food and drink from his own table. Even though he offered, they did not accept it. They were trained in the ways of the Babylonians. Eventually they were appointed as administrators over the province of Babylon. Keep in mind that there were all kinds of ideas being put into the king’s head, as he was reminded that those Hebrew boys did not serve his gods or worship the golden image that he has set up.

Full of furious rage, he commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought to him. He wanted to see where their loyalties lie. His bottom line was simply this, when you hear the music, fall down and worship the image that I have made. However, if you do not, you all will be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”

For these three guys, their actions came down to faith in the one true God. Imagine it, everyone looking and waiting for them to bow down. Can you hear the whispers, and mummering of the crowd and kings court alike?  And how about that sour look on the kings face, that said, “well, I am waiting.”

They responded to the king like this, “ O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king. But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

In my mind I see an embarrassed and now furious king who would not be made a fool of, as he ordered the furnace to be heated seven times more than usual.  He ordered some of the mighty men of his army to bind them and cast them in. Even the king’s soldiers were killed because it was so hot. And they fell bound into the burning fiery furnace.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors, “Did we not cast three men bound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O King.” He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.”

Nebuchadnezzar recognized the supernatural miracle before him. He calls them out of the furnace, he declared, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God.”  Not a hair on their heads were singed, and no smell of fire on their clothing.  He went on to say, “Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants, who trust in him, and set aside the king’s command, and yielded up their bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God.”

Trials in this life are unavoidable friends. This passage of scripture is meant to stir up our heart, giving us the assurance, that we can come through those obstacles and challenges.  Just like God was with them in a strange Land, he is indeed with us in the hot furnaces of our lives too. Here are three take aways from the three Hebrew boys: One, their confidence in the God,  Second, their acknowledgement of God over the world’s most powerful king resulted in God’s supreme power being revealed to unbelievers Thirdly, their faith demonstrates that God will deliver, giving victory to his children.

Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Daddy’s Home

Daddy’s Home

Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, His Word.

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

Daddy’s Home

“There you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a father carries his son, all the way you went until you reached this place.” Deuteronomy 1:31 NIV

There is a completeness when daddy is home. There is nothing like having the whole family together. My dad came from a family of girls. He had all sisters, then all daughters, and now all granddaughters. When I was a kid, you could find my dad one of three places, the fishing whole, the dinner table, or the church house. With dad in the ministry, it took our whole family many places, Wednesday bible studies, Sunday school, vacation bible school, and visits to other churches across the state of Oklahoma. I can’t forget about all those fantastic musicals. Even mom and dad had their song, Sweet Home. When we hit the road as a family, the snackin, laughin, and some of the greatest gospel quartet Sangin you’d ever hear on tape would begin. In those days, it was almost like a concert when my daddy sung and sang he did. He was called into the ministry at 15 years old and was a gospel singer, with this gospel group called the Phoenix All-Stars however he did settle down to embrace his calling in the ministry, learning the church from the front door and everything in between. He founded Rock of Ages Baptist Church, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Dads’ slogan has always been, the church where everybody is somebody. My dad is not just a hooper, and singer, he is a great teacher of God’s Word.  He preached a lot of sermons, one of my favorites was Dry Bones, from the book of Ezekiel. I am so blessed to have my dad in my life. He and my mom taught me a great many things, and they gave me one thing, that can never be taken away and that’s Jesus Christ. My daddy is always telling me how proud he is of me. There is nothing on this earth as sweet as a father’s love. I Love you dad and thank you for believing in me.

What does a Father Do?

  • In his daughter’s life, he shows her how to be secure in who she is, guiding her to see how a man should treat her, by the way he treats her mother.
  • For his son he is always teaching what it means to stand up with honor, respect for himself, others, and keeps his word.
  • To his wife, he is more than a protector, or financial provider, He is her best friend, he lifts her spirts when she is sad, he encourages her dreams, he reminds her she can do all things through Christ who is her strengthens, he is her biggest fan, he holds her up with his strong arms when she feels weak, and he does what no other can do when she is mad, makes her laugh.

Did you know that Father’s Day was created by a woman? Back in 1909, a woman named Sonora Smart Dodd had a goal of establish an official equivalent to Mother’s Day for male parents. She gathered support for her idea, and on June 19, 1901, the state of Washington celebrated the first-ever Father’s Day. Roses are the official flower, red if your dad is alive and white if he is deceased.

To those of you who have lost your father, God will be a father for you. We carry those memories of our loved ones in our hearts and minds. That love never dies, it’s apart of us for as long as we live. Amen.

Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Sermon on the Plain

“And he came down with them, and stood in the plain, and the company of his disciples, and a great multitude of people out of all Judaea and Jerusalem, and from the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, which came to hear him, and to be healed of their diseases.” Luke 6:17 KJV

Jesus’ sermon is sometimes called the Sermon on the Plain (or the Sermon on the Plateau) is delivered after coming down from a mountain and standing on a level place. Jesus begins with some beatitudes. In the Sermon Jesus gives us some command: love our enemies, do good to those who hate us, bless those that curse us, pray for those who use, turn the other cheek when one strikes us, give generously to everyone who ask of us, and finally the Golden rule: “Do to others as you would have them do unto you.

Let’s break these commands down: Love your enemies-How hard has it been for you to love those you know hate you? Bless those who curse us-Have you been called everything but a child of God?  Every curse doesn’t have to be a cuss word to hurt a person. Pray for those who abuse us- Did you know that physical abuse is not the only form of abuse. There are five other abuses: sexual, verbal/emotional, mental/psychological, financial/economic, and cultural/identity.

Jesus closes the Sermon on the plain by reminding us to take action and follow through on our commitment. Even as hard as it sometimes an be, it all points back to the Golden rule of taking God’s way up by doing to others as you would have them do unto you.

Remember friends, we are each other’s keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

GPS

“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” Psalm 32″8 NIV

What does the term GPS stand for? It is a U.S. owned utility that provides users with positioning, navigation, and timing services called a Global Positioning System. For our purposes we will define GPS as Gods Positioning System. When I think of Gods position, I am reminded there is no where he can’t see or get to me in this world.

In this world with thousands of paths to choose, how can we know which way we should go? And what about if we get lost? Where should we go when we can’t fully see the road before us?  We look to God’s Word through faith and trust.  As we continue looking to the Lord for direction on this journey, he will take us where we have never been before.

As I apply the three “omni” to God’s Positioning System, I am reminded what an awesome God we serve.

Omnipotence means that God is in total control of himself and his creation. It’s nothing like knowing no matter where we go God is always with us.

Omniscience, means that he is the ultimate criterion of truth. You can rest assure where our God leads, he will provide.

Omnipresence means that since God’s power and knowledge extend to all parts of his creation he himself is present everywhere.

Life comes with plenty of challenges. The Lord is here to navigate us through the terrains of life. Will you let go, and let him take the wheel of your life? He has the power to get us where we are meant to be.

Remember we are each others keep, and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.

Motivation

Motivation

Now let’s dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!

Motivation

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also the interest of others.” Philippians 2:3-4 NIV

When this journey began back in 2019, I had no idea what any of it meant or even where this was going to go.  I simply asked God to guide me with his eye. From pen to paper, came life, inspiration as I became a published writer, blogger, and host of my own podcast. These were unimaginable things I never saw myself doing. Who would have thought it?

I was asked- Why do you do this week after week and month after month. You blog, share scripture, provide amazing facts, and now you have your own podcast. You don’t even need prompting to get up to do the work. Between a full time job and life which I know you have, you still show up to share a message to inspire, encourage, and remind me and others how to fight for our lives-through his word. Whether it’s one person or ten, you just keep showing up-WHY?

Because I truly believe in what the Lord has given me. This journey has nothing to do with money for me, nor does it have anything to do with numbers, instead it is about the quality and care I put into doing these things for God. The truth be told, it’s nothing but by God’s grace and mercy, through the Holy Spirit that these things came to be.  I am inspired, to motivate and encourage “US” to stay faithful in the small things, to remember we have purpose, stay focus friends, keep going-we are going to make it, we can do all things through Christ who is our strength, and If God is for us- who can be against us?  I am an imperfect person, with the perfect mission. I am like that inquisitive child, who wants to learn more, share more, and do what He gives me, to the best of my spiritual ability.

Motivation is defined as “that which moves one toward an action; that which changes, provokes, or impels our very being.” The Bible has a great deal to say about motivation. For one thing, our sense of motivation or inspiration comes from God, not from the things of the world. David spoke of his motivation in his psalms: “I desire to do Your will, O my God; Your law is within my heart.” Later he wrote, “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you.”

Jesus set the example for our motivation in this life: He always did the Father’s will, motivated by pleasing Him through obedience. His obedience extended all the way to the cross where He humbled Himself and became obedient unto death. He tells us, “If you love me, keep my commandments.”

It wasn’t money, it wasn’t fame, nor was it being the best apostle that motivated Paul. It was living for Christ that superseded everything.  Our motivation as believers stems from a yearning to have peace with God, to have His grace as well as hope.

Remember we are each others keep, and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.
