Sense of Humor
Together with kindness and in understanding, let’s take this time to self reflect. I am here to inspire, encourage, and remind you that God has given us the most important weapon we have to fight the enemy, his Word.
Now let us dress our soul like we dress our bodies, EVERYDAY!
A Sense of Humor
“A joyful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.” Proverbs17:22 ESV
So what do you think friend? Do you think God has a sense of humor? The saying goes, God must have a sense of humor because he made us. I love to laugh, Lord knows I have laughed until I cried, with sore stomach muscles. In his Word he tells us that there is a season for everything, including laughter. A sense of humor has a way of lifting our spirits and those around us.
Sarah from the book of Genesis reminded herself that God had made laughter for her, and everyone who hears about her pregnancy in old age will laugh. What does it mean to have a sense of humor? The Dictionary defines it as the ability to perceive, enjoy or express what is comical or funny.
Let us keep in mind that we do serve a God who does things descent and in order. He does laugh at foolishness which should remind us not to waste our time on what is not productive in our lives. Fussing, fighting, feuding, about this or that drains our energy and peace of mind. If you’re like me, sometimes I laugh at myself, just as a reminder not to take life so seriously all the time. Life is full of challenges friends but we have the assurance that the Lord is with us no matter what. When I think of the fact that I am never alone, this scripture comes to mind from Psalm 144:15, “Happy are the people whose God is the Lord.” God is our true source of happiness, strength, hope and wisdom. Those who are in his favor will always have these things.
Remember we are each others keeper and the only time we should be looking down on someone is when we are helping them up.
